Our Story

Blue Mountain Lake Club, Inc. (BMLC) is a private club and camp retreat established in 1953 with long term preservation and conservation plans, dedicated as stewards of private property, committed to its membership, Mother Nature, and its landlords. BMLC is located in the center of the New York State Adirondack Park on NYS Route 28N/30 between Long Lake and Blue Mountain Lake, NY.

We lease approximately 3,800 acres from the Nature Conservancy and a timber management company. Our leased land is located on both sides of Route 28N/30. Large areas of New York State wilderness forest and forest preserve lands are easily accessible from our leased land and maintained roads.

The Salmon River, Mud, and South Ponds are readily accessible and offer excellent fishing. Small boats, canoes, and kayaks can be launched on leased land. New York State regulates boat motors to 10 mph on South Pond.

Opportunities abound throughout our leased land that offer big game and small game hunting and restricts the taking of doe. Miles of Club roads, logging roads, and marked trails provide access to some of the finest hunting in New York State’s Adirondack Park that are otherwise difficult to access from outside our leased land.

The Club’s road and trail systems make great cross country ski and snowmobiling trails in the winter months and ATV and hiking trails in the summer months. Camping is permitted along many of the Club roads with approved camper sites.

BMLC’s pristine wilderness location allows members and guests to celebrate and enjoy all of nature’s magnificence that the heart of the Adirondack Region has to offer. As a club member or guest, it is our responsibility to steward the land as if it were our own, emphasizing respect to nature, property owners and all applicable governances of the well managed resources of the Adirondack Park.
